The buzzword right now…!

From google itself

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is set to unveil its latest and most advanced artificial intelligence model on Wednesday, marking a significant step in addressing the growing questions surrounding the monetization of AI technologies.

The expansive language model, codenamed Gemini, boasts a diversified suite of three distinct configurations: Gemini Ultra, representing the pinnacle of size and capability; Gemini Pro, designed for versatility across a broad spectrum of tasks; and Gemini Nano, tailored for specific applications and optimized for mobile devices.

Initially, Google plans to offer licenses for Gemini to clients through its Google Cloud platform, allowing them to seamlessly integrate the AI model into their own applications. As of December 13, developers and enterprise users gain access to Gemini Pro via the Gemini API in Google AI Studio or Google Cloud Vertex AI. Android developers, meanwhile, can leverage Gemini Nano for their mobile applications. Additionally, Gemini is earmarked to enhance various Google products, including the Bard chatbot and the Search Generative Experience, which aims to respond to search queries using conversational-style text (SGE is currently in limited availability).

Gemini Ultra stands out as the inaugural model surpassing human experts in Massive Multitask Language Understanding (MMLU). This innovative approach assesses proficiency across 57 subjects, spanning disciplines such as mathematics, physics, history, law, medicine, and ethics. The blog post released on Wednesday underscores Gemini Ultra’s capacity to comprehend subtleties and demonstrate reasoning prowess in intricate subjects, setting a new benchmark in AI capabilities.
